What It’s Like to Work With Hannah
Hannah Hale is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who offers a warm, affirming, and collaborative space where you can show up as you are. She works with people navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, identity, or a persistent sense of feeling stuck.
Hannah leads with a person-centred approach. This means you set the pace and direction of counselling while she brings warmth, curiosity, and her full presence. There is no fixed agenda or script for what your life, identity, or relationships are supposed to look like. You are always welcome to slow down, redirect the conversation, or pause.
Depending on what feels useful, Hannah draws from Internal Family Systems to explore the different parts of you and what they may be protecting; Narrative Therapy to loosen the hold of stories that no longer serve you; Emotionally Focused Therapy to understand patterns beneath relationship conflict or distance; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you move toward what matters, even when difficult thoughts and feelings are present.
As a polyamorous, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent counsellor, Hannah brings lived understanding to the experience of navigating identities, relationships, and systems that do not always make room for difference. She especially enjoys working with people who want a counsellor they will not have to educate about their identity, neurodivergence, culture, or relationship structure.
You do not need a diagnosis, a label, or a tidy explanation to begin. If something feels off—or you simply want space to understand yourself more deeply—that is enough of a starting point.
