What It’s Like to Work With Dakota

Dakota McMillan (they/them) is a Registered Massage Therapist who provides skilled, affirming, and results-focused care for people seeking support with pain, tension, recovery, and overall physical wellbeing.

Their treatments often combine deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques, active stretching, and relaxation-focused work to create a balanced approach that is tailored to each person’s needs. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, working through mobility limitations, or simply looking to feel more comfortable in your body, Dakota meets you where you are and helps build a treatment plan that supports your goals.

Dakota has a particular interest in post-surgical care and completed a case study examining the effects of myofascial therapy on top-surgery scars. They are passionate about helping people improve function, mobility, and comfort during both acute and long-term recovery.

As a queer practitioner, Dakota is committed to creating a welcoming and affirming environment for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, people of all body types, and those whose identities, lifestyles, or experiences may not always fit neatly into traditional healthcare spaces. Their approach is open-minded, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique journey.
