What It’s Like to Work With Asher
Asher Gunnar-MacLeod (he/him) offers person-centered, trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and relationships. His work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, authenticity, and creating space for people to show up exactly as they are.
As a transgender man with lived experience of neurodivergence and trauma, Asher brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to his work. He understands the challenges of navigating systems that were not designed with everyone in mind and is passionate about helping people build lives that feel more aligned, connected, and sustainable.
Clients often describe Asher as warm, thoughtful, and deeply accepting. Whether you’re exploring gender identity, navigating relationship challenges, healing from trauma, processing religious or spiritual harm, or trying to better understand longstanding patterns in your life, Asher creates a space where curiosity, growth, and self-understanding can unfold at your own pace.
His approach combines professional training, lived experience, and nearly two decades of work supporting people across diverse communities and life circumstances.
