What It’s Like to Work With Dr. Kavanagh
Dr. Kavanagh is committed to creating the kind of healthcare she believes everyone deserves – care that is affirming, collaborative, and rooted in genuine connection. She offers evidence & trauma-informed, integrative care that blends the best of clinical research with deep curiosity and compassion, creating a space where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
As a queer naturopathic doctor, she is passionate about providing inclusive care where people of all identities, bodies, relationships, and lived experiences can show up exactly as they are. Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, managing a chronic condition, or simply looking to feel more at home in your body, you’re welcome here.
Dr. Kavanagh has a special interest in mental health, skin health, hormonal and reproductive health, and digestive health. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, she takes the time to understand the whole picture before creating a treatment plan that actually fits your life. Together, you’ll explore an approach that feels realistic, affirming, and aligned with your goals, drawing from nutrition, lifestyle medicine, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical prescribing, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and nutrient injections.
Above all, Dr. Kavanagh hopes every patient leaves feeling more informed, more confident in their body, and reminded that healthcare can and should feel safe, collaborative, and even a little joyful!

Outside the Clinic
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Amy, ND is happiest somewhere surrounded by trees, swimming in the ocean, or finding a quiet spot to read a good book. She tries to bring curiosity and playfulness into her hobbies, from attempting new crafts (with varying degrees of success!) to staying active through swimming laps, playing softball, and getting out on the tennis court. When she’s not adventuring outdoors, she loves slowing down at home with her two cats, Maisie and Juna (the loves of her life).
